What does GPI travel insurance cover?
The policy pays only for services specified in the contract and only within the applicable limits.
1. Emergency outpatient care
Assistance for a sudden illness or accident that cannot be postponed for more than 24 hours. Coverage includes a specialist consultation, outpatient procedures, tests and examinations, and necessary medication. For an unplanned illness, only conditions listed in the contract are covered.
Limit: 10,000 GEL.
2. Emergency medical assistance
Dispatch of a medical team, on-site assistance and transport to the nearest suitable clinic, where medically indicated.
Limit: unlimited.
3. Emergency hospitalisation
Hospital treatment lasting more than 24 hours for an acute, life-threatening condition. Diagnostics, medication, therapeutic treatment and surgery are covered. For sudden illness, coverage applies to insured persons under 75.
Limit: up to 15,000 GEL, but no more than 1,000 GEL per day.
4. Emergency dental care
First aid for an acute dental condition. Tooth extraction, local anaesthesia, a dental X-ray or visiography are covered.
Limit: 5,000 GEL.
5. Medical evacuation
Urgent transport to another clinic or Tbilisi International Airport where medically indicated. Available only with the insurer's prior approval.
Limit: 20,000 GEL.
6. Repatriation in the event of death
Transport of the body to Tbilisi International Airport following death from a sudden illness or accident. Available only with the insurer's prior approval.
Limit: 20,000 GEL.
What else is important to know
COVID-19: outpatient care up to 5,000 GEL; inpatient care up to 10,000 GEL.
If purchased in Georgia, after 24 hours.
