Prepare a policy for each covered traveller
For an ordinary family trip, each adult and child should have a document containing that traveller's personal details and the full period of the stay. The regulation has specific exemptions for special categories, not a general family exemption.
Use one family checklist
Review every PDF together before departure so that one typo or short date does not affect a single family member.
- names match passports in Latin characters;
- every date covers entry through departure;
- all files are saved offline;
- the assistance number is shared with the family.
If medical help is needed
Use the assistance contact shown in the relevant person's policy before arranging non-emergency treatment. Follow the insurer's instructions and retain medical records and receipts.
